Jessica Miller, Veterinarian and Animal Care Center Owner

Dr. Miller is a Louisiana native and graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She has practiced in the Washington, D.C. area as well as Texas, but is most happy here at home. Outside of veterinary medicine and surgery, she mostly enjoys spending time in her garden, reading the latest novel, and being out on the water. Jessica Miller

Natalie Allemand, Office Manager
Natalie has been a great asset to Animal Care Center since 2002!  She takes on multiple roles at the hospital and strives to make every pet feel loved.  She has four sons; Anthony, Dominick, Dane, and Damian who she adores along with her husband, Eugene.  Their family also has several furry members.  She loves to spend time outdoors with her family and pets.

Amy Schmidt, Veterinary Assistant
Amy is a New Orleans native and returning member of the Animal Care Center family. She currently resides in Lakeview with her husband, their new baby girl, and her cat, Mr. Whiskers and dog, Sam. She is an avid animal lover and loves spending her free time with her family and doing anything outdoors.

Cecilia McAlear, Veterinary Assistant
Cecilia began working for Animal Care Center in March of 2015 as a Veterinary Assistant and Kennel Assistant. She is now a Freshman in Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University, from where she will hopefully go on to concentrate in Large Animal Medicine and Equine Health Studies at LSU’s Veterinary School. Though she must attend LSU during the school year, she continues to work for Animal Care Center over holidays. Having owned guinea pigs, sugar gliders, cats, dogs, and horses, Cecilia has a diverse background caring for beloved pets. Though she hopes to be an Equine Veterinarian, working for the clinic is an excellent hands-on learning experience with companion animals.
